When you get notified that the Kio Apps are activated in your Kio Cloud account, it's time set up the apps. Once this setup is complete, you'll see the kit outcomes in action!

Your unique Kio Cloud URL is provided in the Kio Apps activation email. Please be sure to sign in to Kio Cloud using this URL.
Once signed in, the Kio Cloud Launchpad displays both the Kio Cloud apps and your activated Kio Apps.
For the Kio Asset Tracker and IV Pump apps, an Entity Type represents the type of device or equipment. For the Kio Staff Safe app, it's common that an Entity Type represents various staff roles or categories, and for non-staff these may be visitors or patients. Entity Types also serve as one of the foundational elements of the Kio Apps' metrics and analytics.
An entity represents the mobile asset, fixed asset, or people and are assigned to an Entity Type and also a Kontakt.io Tag or Badge.

From your Kio Cloud Launchpad, select Company Settings.

From the Entity Management menu, select Entity Types > Create Entity Type. Add the three Entity Types provided in the table below for each of the Kio Apps.

From the Entity Management menu, select Entities > Create Entity. Create the entities provided in the table below for each of the Kio Apps. An entity is a single object (a tracked asset) or person that is assigned to an Entity Type.

IV Pump |
Name: name to identify the type of IV Pump or category. For example, Infusion Pump. Profile type: select Mobile Asset Assigned Applications: select IV Pump. Optionally, you can also select Asset Tracker to view any IV Pumps assigned to this entity type within the Asset Tracker app. |

Entity Type: select the name of the Entity Type you created for the Staff Safe app. Entity ID: enter a unique identifier of the staff; duplicates are not allowed. This could be an ID within another system, such as your HR employee system For example, J Smith 123456. Entity Name: enter a value to identify the staff; duplicates are allowed. For example, J Smith. Assigned Tag: select the Smart Badge (provided in the kit). All Personal Identifiable Information (PII) entered should follow your organization's policies. |
An Alert Rule in Staff Safe defines the monitored Smart Badge button press events. When the condition set in the rule is reached, an alert is triggered and notifications are sent to responders.

From your Kio Cloud Launchpad, select Staff Safe.

From the Settings menu, select Alert Rules > Create Alert Rule > BUTTON CLICK.
You are guided through each of the settings provided in the table below. When the settings are complete, select Save.

During this step you will set up room types and match rooms. This allows you to track IV Pump PAR Levels and the status of your IV Pump based on its room-level location.

From your Kio Cloud Launchpad, select Company Settings.

From the Room Management menu, select Room Types > Create Room Type.
First, create the Clean Storage room type.
Next, create the Patient Room.

First, you will set up the Clean Storage room type. From the Room Management menu, select Room Matching > within the All Rooms tab, from the Select Location drop-down menu, select your kit's mapped floor location.

Select the checkbox next to the room name designated for PAR level tracking , select Assign Room Type > set the Room Type to Clean Storage.

From the Room Types list, select Clean Storage > select the Entity Type Rules tab.

Select the expand arrow next to the Room Type, from the Actions column select the edit icon.

Move the Set Par Level Type slider to the enable position > select the green checkmark to save.

Now, you need to match your second mapped room to the Patient Room Type. From the Room Management menu, select Room Matching.

Within the All Rooms tab, from the Select Location drop-down menu, select your kit's mapped floor location.

Select the checkbox next to your mapped second room, select Assign Room Type > set the Room Type to Patient Room.
From the Room Types menu, you can select the expand arrow icon next to each Room Type to view its setup details.
Once you've completed the apps' setup steps, you can now experience the kit outcomes in real-time.

From your Kio Cloud Launchpad, select Asset Tracker.

From the Inventory menu, select the Map View > go to the floor location where the asset is located. The floor plan displays the real-time location of the asset.
Alternatively, from the Inventory menu, select List. This is a list of all assets, including options to search by asset and column filters to narrow down the assets listed. This view is helpful when you have a large quantity of assets and need to locate a specific asset or a type of asset.

From your Kio Cloud Launchpad, select IV Pump.

From the Inventory menu, select the Map View > go to the floor location where the IV Pump is located. The floor plan display the real-time location of the pump.
Alternatively, from the Inventory menu, select Inventory Table. This snapshot of the current status of all pumps.
To view the current status of your IV Pump and Utilization data, which is limited to your one pump, go the Summary Dashboard.The status of the IV Pump should be based on if its in the Patient Room or Clean Storage room that was setup in Step 4.
During this outcome, you'll be acting as both the Staff wearing the Smart Badge that activates an alert and a responder to the alert.
Be sure you are located in a mapped room and follow the below steps.

From your Kio Cloud Launchpad, select Staff Safe > Simple View.

SIGNAL for help: Press the button on the Smart Badge three times in quick succession. The button pressed should be the button that you set in your Staff Safe Alert Rule.

ALERT activated and responders notified: The Alert Rule triggers the alert and notifications are sent to the rule's recipients.

FOUND by responders: Responders quickly find you by knowing your real-time location, even when you are on the move.
If you move to the second mapped room, you can see the location change from the alert's details.

RESPONDER Acknowledges the alert: This serves as a method to indicate action is being taken.

RESPONDER sets alert to RESOLVED state and logs the alert activity: This serves as a method to indicate the duress event has been resolved. You can optionally download the alert's Incident Report.
