Groups are like categories that help organize or segment assets. Through groups, you can bring your own segmenting based on some type of unique data or information. Each asset can be assigned to more than one group and groups can be assigned to Alert Rules.
For example, using groups is helpful when you need to identify assets impacted by specific conditions, such those included in a recall or service bulletin.

From the Settings menu, select Groups > select ADD GROUP

Enter its Name and visual color displayed > select Save.
You can delete a group at anytime, which also deletes the group from any of its assigned assets.

From the Settings menu, select Groups .

From the list, locate the group and from its Action column select the delete icon > confirm you want to delete the group.
Groups are assigned from the profile of an asset.

From the Settings menu, select Assets.

From the list, locate the asset > select its Asset ID or Asset Name. Optionally, from the Actions column, select the edit icon.

From its Group setting > select a group to assign or deselect to unassign.

Once complete, select Save.
