From Room Types in Company Settings, you can configure and manage Periodic Automated Replenishment (PAR) rules. These rules help ensure adequate inventory levels of IV Pumps and Wheelchairs while avoiding shortages or overages. From the IV Pump and Wheelchair Manager apps, you can also configure Alert Rules to notify staff when PAR level thresholds are reached. Additionally, these two apps provide PAR level analytics for actionable, data-driven insights into your tracked inventory.
Topics include:
-
You must be assigned to the Company Settings Administrator role.
-
Before you begin, verify that Room Types and Entity Types are created, and Room Matching is complete.
-
In addition to PAR level rules by Room Type, you can also automate the status of assets by their room location. This can also aid in managing and tracking your inventory.
PAR level rules automate the monitoring of your IV Pump and Wheelchair inventory by Room Type. These rules can result in optimized inventory levels, reduce hoarding, and provide staff access to necessary equipment when needed.
For example, you want to prevent shortages of "Volumetric Pumps" in your "Clean Storage" rooms. This will require an Entity Type of "Volumetric Pump" and each individual pump is assigned to this Entity Type. Then from your Room Type of "Clean Storage", you will set a PAR level Shortage Prevention rule for the Entity Type of "Volumetric Pump" and set its thresholds. Then from the Kio IV Pump app, you would then create an Alert Rule to notify staff when the quantity of pumps has reached a Critical or Warning level.
