There are a number of different reasons why this could be happening but don't worry, we will cover them all in this article.
Before getting into details, it is important to check your device to ensure Bluetooth is turned on. Also make sure you have the latest version of Kontakt.io management app, available for Android and iOS.
Beacons ran out of battery
One of the most common causes is that beacons ran out of battery, and therefore they ceased to broadcast their signal. To troubleshoot this, simply replace the battery of your beacon for that of a working beacon or for a new one.
Shared beacons
When working with beacons, it is quite common that they get shared within accounts. Both our API and Kontakt.io Panel offer different options when sharing beacons.
If someone shared the beacons with you using either: share with viewer permissions or share with editor permissions, you will only have access to API metadata, and the beacons will not be listed under your account in the Kontakt.io Administration app.
If you need to change the configuration of the beacons, contact the owner and ask them to assign them to your account instead.
