Dashboard
Dashboard gives you a general overview of your beacon’s infrastructure. It also enables you to see in detail how your beacons are doing, and indicate the things that require your attention. Such examples could be the battery life of a group of beacons, or if a subset of beacons which haven’t been detected in a while.
Locations – Deployment Mapper
In Locations Sections you may add and edit deployment locations to your current Infrastructure. Each location will be displayed on the map, according to its geographical coordinates or address.
In Maps -subsection you may upload a floorplan (or multiple floorplans for multi-storey buildings), and assign Beacons to the created this particular Location.
Deployment View enables you to pinpoint individual beacons and gateways on the uploaded floorplans. While dropping the beacons on the floorplan, you may also add documented deployment information (mounting height, method, wall vs. ceiling) as tags.
Finally once everything is set up, this view will help you to quickly find problematic beacon and locate it with the help of map, when needs to be serviced.
Alerts
In this section you may set two types of Smart Alerts – Battery Alert and Detection Alert – to notify you about chances in health of your beacon infrastructure.
- Battery Alert: choose at which battery-level you wish to be notified.
- Detection Alert: choose to be alerted when some of you beacons are not detected within a given time period.
Once Alert’s conditions are met, they trigger an email to predefined email addresses (e.g. Superuser and IT-Infra Manager). Email will include the reason of the alert, and it will also enable recipient to follow the URL to the Notification section (below) that includes info of all the devices that caused alert to trigger.
Notifications (sub-section for alerts)
This section shows all the current notifications that have been triggered by the Alert system. Individual Notification includes all the devices that caused alert to trigger, so main that maintenance team can quickly see analyse which devices have problems, where they are located, and even export the CSV file to be printed for them. Notifications also signal read vs. unread status, and enable maintenance team to add notes, e.g. what actions this alert resulted.
Beacon Overview – Enhanced Monitoring Dashboard
All the beacons assigned to the account are visible in this view. This new improved monitoring view includes actionable graphs, which means that you by clicking a specific cohort of devices – e.g. “beacons with 0-20% battery” – you are directly able to jump to the list of those devices.
You may for example see a chart which visualises stock vs deployed beacons with distributed to different locations.
---
By combining Smart Alerts, Enhanced Monitoring Dashboard, and Deployment Visualizer your maintenance work can be made more systematic and efficient as there is no longer need to constantly monitor the health of your beacon infrastructure when smart alert will watch it for you.
