Kontakt.io’s Smart Beacon SB16-2 and SB18-3 are among the many Bluetooth products that have replaceable batteries.
Since the new casing for Smart Beacons SB16-2 and SB18-3 has three hooks that keep its two parts together—two on the top side and one on the bottom—we have prepared a short tutorial to help you replace your beacon batteries on your own. If you would like to see a video tutorial, you can access it here.
Step-by-step—How to replace the battery
- Start by prying the bottom part of the casing from the side with two hooks, using a small flat head screwdriver or some similar tool. Do not use too much force, so as not to not break the casing
- After you open the casing you will see the beacon's PCB board and the battery.
- Now you can replace your battery and put the casing back together. It is easier to start from the side with two hooks like while disassembling it.
