February 2022: Smart Badge & Asset Tag 2 button click new features

You can now set a policy’s condition to monitor RED button clicks.

This new condition was added to Beacon Signals as a Button Click option. When set to the Second Button, a RED button press results in button-click event and the policy’s action is triggered. Before this release, the Button Click condition was only triggered when a device's BLUE button was pressed.

If you already have a policy’s condition set to Button Click, it remains the same and triggers an action when the device's BLUE button is pressed. Although, you’ll notice the Button Click condition has been set to the Default Button.

Please note the condition button labels will be updated in the next release to specify the blue and red button.

The Smart Badge and Asset Tag 2 buttons can now be configured to trigger a button-click event when its BLUE or RED button is quickly pressed three consecutive times (triple-click). By default, a single-click triggers a button event.

We introduced this feature to provide an additional button-click monitoring option. This may also be helpful to reduce false button presses that may occur when set to the default single-click button event.

To config a device's buttons to triple-click, set its buttonFeatures property to TRIPLE_CLICK.
