Using Tag beacons or other beacons to advertise based on scanning and detecting a UUID

Would it be possible to use a simple beacon (the least expensive one) and codes its
firmware to scan for specific iBeacon uuid and only if detected advertise an iBeacon packet
for several seconds and than stop?

  Hello Aric,

   

  The solution that you have described is, unfortunately not possible to do since beacons can't read each others signal.

  To read the beacon's signal you need a receiver like a Gateway GW16-2 or a mobile phone.
