I'm looking into using Kontakt beacons + gateway for realtime positioning. I understand that the location API can give me the XY coordinates of devices within range of the beacons.
My use case for this is to detect the order in which customers are lined up in a queue.
I have the following questions about this:
1. From the API docs, I understand that the API reports the trackingId which can ID the individual device. It says that this may be the device's MAC address. Is there any way we can deterministically know what a given user's trackingId is ahead of time? Unless we can connect the trackingId to the customer data in our service, it is useless to us.
2. How do the XY coordinates work? What are the bounds of the XY plane? Where is the origin point? What is the scale of the coordinates?
