Telemetry Sync sends the most recent sensor readings and operational data from a device to Kio Cloud immediately, without waiting for the next automatic sync interval. Use it to confirm a newly installed device is reporting, or to pull the latest data when troubleshooting a specific device on-site.
Before you begin
- Signed in to Kio Setup Manager with the Device Management role
- The target device is within Bluetooth range of your mobile device
Steps
- Tap Tools in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap Telemetry Sync.
- Select the device to sync:
- Tap Scan device to scan the device's QR code, or
- Select the device from the nearby device list
- Tap Start sync.
- Wait for the sync to complete. Kio Setup Manager shows progress and a confirmation message when the sync is successful.
Note: Telemetry Sync can also be triggered from the device detail view. Open the device detail and select Sync telemetry from the actions menu.
What happens next
The device's latest readings are available in Kio Cloud. For Temperature Monitors, the current reading appears in the Temperature Monitoring Monitoring view. For infrastructure devices, updated telemetry is visible in Device Management. If readings do not appear within a minute after sync, verify the device is online in Device Management.
