Sticker Tags require NFC activation before they can broadcast and report data. Activation is a one-time step performed in Kio Setup Manager using your mobile device's NFC capability. No other tag type requires this step.
Before you begin
- Device Management role assigned in Kio Cloud
- Kio Setup Manager installed and signed in
- Sticker Tag claimed in Device Management
- Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device
- Within Bluetooth range of the Sticker Tag
Steps
- Tap Devices in the bottom navigation bar.
- Locate the Sticker Tag in My Nearby Devices, or search by name or Unique ID in My Devices.
- Tap the Sticker Tag to open its detail view.
- Tap Activate your device.
- Follow the steps shown by Kio Setup Manager. Keep your mobile device near the Sticker Tag throughout the process.
Kio Setup Manager confirms when activation is complete.
What happens next
The activated Sticker Tag begins broadcasting and can be detected by nearby infrastructure and tracked in Kio Cloud.
If the Sticker Tag does not appear in Nearby Devices, confirm Bluetooth is enabled and you are within range. If it appears under Other Nearby Devices instead of My Nearby Devices, the tag has not been claimed to your account — claim it in Device Management first.
