The Kontakt.io ES8 Dispenser Beacon is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), cloud-managed device for GOJO PURELL® ES8 soap and sanitizer dispensers. It plugs into the ES8 dispenser to monitor hand hygiene in real time — capturing dispense events and soap level — and reports to Kio Cloud through a gateway, where Hand Hygiene turns the data into compliance records.
Key features
- GOJO PURELL® ES8 compatibility. Plugs directly into GOJO PURELL ES8 dispensers. See Compatible dispensers below.
- Automatic dispense capture. Records each dispense event from the dispenser it's fitted to.
- Real-time soap-level monitoring. Shows low or empty dispensers so they can be refilled.
- Individual hand hygiene compliance. Works with staff Smart Badges to attribute hand hygiene opportunities to individuals and prompt staff to sanitize before patient contact.
- Audible notifications. Integrated buzzer supports the local hand hygiene reminder, in locations where the Dispenser Beacon is paired with both a Portal Light and a room sensor (Beam Mini or Portal Beam) during installation.
- Onboard temperature sensor. Includes a temperature sensor.
- Replaceable battery. Uses a supplied Kontakt.io battery pack; up to 2–3 years of life (about 200,000 events).
- Cloud-managed. Reports over BLE to Kio Cloud through a gateway.
Compatible dispensers
The ES8 Dispenser Beacon works only in GOJO PURELL® ES8 dispensers, for both soap and sanitizer. For example:
It does not fit any other dispenser, including the GOJO PURELL® ES10. For an ES10 dispenser, use the ES10 Dispenser Beacon. For other dispensers, check whether the model is supported by the Universal Dispenser Beacon.
Install it
