Kio Entity Manager shows the workflows that are available on your mobile device on the Select Action screen. Some workflows are gated by hardware — Activate Sticker Tag, for example, requires NFC, so it does not appear on iPad. Use this reference to confirm which workflows are available on each device before you start a task.
Actions by device
The same Kio Cloud account can run different workflows depending on which device you sign in from.
| Action | iPhone | iPad | Android |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assign Tag to Asset | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Assign Badge to Staff | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Activate Sticker Tag | Yes | No | Yes |
Tag-type chooser in Assign Tag to Asset
When you start Assign Tag to Asset, the app may ask whether you are scanning a Sticker Tag or another tag. The chooser only appears on devices with NFC.
| Device | Tag-type chooser shown? |
|---|---|
| iPhone | Yes |
| iPad | No — the workflow starts on the Other Tag path. iPad accepts every tag type, including Sticker Tags, via QR scan. |
| Android | Yes |
| Option | Tag types it covers | Scan method |
|---|---|---|
| Sticker Tag | Sticker Tag | NFC tap (iPhone, Android); QR scan (iPad) |
| Other Tag | Asset Tag 2, Asset Tag 2 Mini, Nano Tag, Nano Tag IR, Nano Series | QR scan or manual MAC / unique ID entry |
See Supported tag and badge models for the full list of accepted models per workflow.
Reporting an issue from inside the app
If Kio Entity Manager shows an error or you notice a problem, report it from inside the app. There are two ways to open the in-app bug reporter.
- Two-finger swipe left from any screen on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
- Send bug report button on certain error screens, including Tag Cannot Be Assigned and Badge Cannot Be Assigned.
Both open the same reporter, which attaches app logs and device context before sending the report to Kontakt.io support.
