This reference describes the external probes used with the Temp Monitor Pro. A probe is an external sensor on a cable, placed inside a Storage Unit while the Monitor stays outside. The Temp Monitor Lite does not use probes.
Probe types

The RTD Pt100 probe covers cryogenic ranges, down to ultra-low freezer temperatures, that the digital probe does not.

Placement and handling
- Place the probe tip in its buffer at the center of the Storage Unit at mid-depth.
- Leave a 3 to 6 inch gap between the buffer and stored contents.
- Secure the cable and route it through a gasket or dedicated port.
- Each probe is configured independently during installation, with its own Storage Unit and Threshold Setting.
- Do not move a probe after installation. Moving it can disconnect it and report a Probe disconnected status, triggering an alert.
