Many Kontakt.io devices have power-saving options that conserve power to extend battery life. Power saving can be managed by device movement, a 7-day hourly schedule, a timed broadcasting sequence, or ambient light levels. In power-saving mode, a device uses less energy by broadcasting less often and turning off non-essential hardware sensors.
Movement-based Broadcasting power saving
For devices with an accelerometer, power saving is managed by movement. The device conserves battery power when it isn't moving.
Normal broadcast (advertising) mode: when the accelerometer detects the device moving.
Power-saving mode: when the accelerometer detects no movement for a configurable period (60 seconds by default, adjustable from 20 to 3600 seconds).
In power-saving mode, the device settings are as follows.

*The Increased Interval reduces the broadcasting rate. It is the device's current interval multiplied by three, with two limits:
- If the result is less than 2000 ms, the increased interval is set to 2000 ms.
- If the result is greater than 10240 ms (the Bluetooth maximum), the increased interval is set to 10240 ms.
Working Hours power saving
The device follows a broadcast schedule based on hours of operation in a 7-day, hour-by-hour calendar. This lets the device conserve battery power during the non-working hours you specify.
Normal broadcast (advertising) mode: during the working-hours schedule.
Power-saving mode: outside the working-hours schedule.
In power-saving mode, the device settings are as follows.

Active Broadcasting Windows power saving
The device follows a timed sequence that sets how many seconds it stays "awake" and broadcasting normally. When the awake period ends, the device goes to sleep (power-saving mode) and stops broadcasting for a set number of minutes. The sequence repeats continuously.
Normal broadcast (advertising) mode: a set number of consecutive "active broadcasting" seconds.
Power-saving mode: a set number of consecutive "sleep" minutes.
During sleep, a device with an accelerometer wakes up when the accelerometer detects movement, and a device with a button wakes up when a button is pressed. Either event resets the sequence, and the device starts broadcasting again when the event occurs.

Brightness Level power saving
For devices with a light sensor, power saving is managed by the ambient light level. This lets the device conserve power when the lights are off at night.
Normal broadcast (advertising) mode: when the ambient light level is at or above the threshold percentage you set.
Power-saving mode: when the ambient light level drops below that threshold.
In power-saving mode, the device settings are as follows.
