Many Kontakt.io devices offer power saving capabilities that conserve power to extend their battery lifespan. Power saving can be managed by device movement, a 7-day hourly schedule, a timed-sequence broadcasting, to ambient light levels. When actively in power-saving mode and not broadcasting normally per its power saving configuration, a device consumes less energy by reducing its packet advertisement rate to disabling packets and non-essential hardware sensors.

Description
Movement-based Broadcasting
For devices equipped with an accelerometer, power saving can be managed by motion-based events. This option allows devices to conserve battery power when they are not moving.
Active Broadcasting Windows
Device is set to a timed sequence that determines the number of seconds it's "awake" and broadcasting normally. When the "awake" time period ends, the device goes to "sleep" (power-saving mode) and does not broadcast for a specified number of minutes. The sequence is repeated continuously.
Working Hours
A device is set to a precise broadcast schedule that is based on hours of operation in a 7-day weekly hour-by-hour calendar. This allows a device to conserve battery power during specified non-working hours.
Brightness Level
For devices equipped with a light sensor, power saving is managed by its ambient light intensity reading level. This option allows devices to conserve power when lights are off during nighttime hours.

The device must now synchronize to receive and apply the Kio Cloud pending configuration update.
When a setting update is made to a tag, Portal Beam, or Anchor Beacon device model, the device is set to a Pending Update status and the device must synchronize with Kio Cloud to receive and apply the configuration update.
A device can be synchronized by either of the following methods. For complete details, see About synchronizing devices to receive pending configuration updates.
