Dispensers Management opens the Your Campuses page, a facility-wide view of dispensers and their attached Dispenser Beacons. If you have viewed a floor before, it reopens on the last floor you viewed. Use it to monitor which dispensers are reporting normally, which need attention, and where issues are concentrated across your facility.
Where it is, and who has access
Dispensers Management is a top-level menu item in Hand Hygiene. Administrators, Users, Viewers, Limited Users, and Contact tracers have access to it.
Note: Import and Create New are Administrator-only. Other roles see Export alone.
If the page shows "No dispensers yet" for a building, dispensers have not been installed for that location. Installation happens in the Kio Setup Manager mobile app.
What the page is for
Dispensers Management answers operational questions:
- Are any Dispenser Beacons offline or in a critical state right now?
- Which buildings or floors have the most dispenser issues today?
- Is a specific dispenser in a specific room reporting normally?
For analytical questions about compliance rates, trends, and opportunities, use Compliance Analytics or All Opportunities instead.
Page structure
Dispensers Management is hierarchical. You start at Your Campuses and drill in:
- Your Campuses: every campus in your account, with KPIs and issue counts.
- Single Campus: buildings in that campus, with KPIs at the campus level.
- Single Building: floors in that building, with KPIs at the building level.
- Single Floor: dispensers on that floor, with KPIs at the floor level.
Use the breadcrumbs in the page header to return to a higher level.
KPIs at every level
All four levels show the same set of KPI tiles for the level you're looking at, in this order:
- All Dispensers: total count at this level.
- Healthy: count reporting normally.
- Warning: count with non-critical issues.
- Critical: count needing immediate attention.
- Offline: count not currently reporting. Offline dispensers appear in gray and are counted separately from Critical and Warning so you can distinguish connectivity loss from device-level alerts.
The tiles report counts only. Selecting a tile does not filter the dispensers; use the quick-filter chips or the list filters instead.
Note: The KPI tiles and the quick-filter chips do not use the same set of values. Warning is a KPI tile but not a chip, and Low Refill and Low Battery are chips but not tiles. The tiles group by severity; the chips filter on the dispenser's reported health status.
A counter in the page header shows how many items at the current level need attention, out of the total. The wording follows the level: N/M campuses require attention on Your Campuses, N/M buildings require attention for a campus, N/M floors require attention for a building, and N/M dispensers require attention for a floor.
Filters
Filters narrow the dispensers shown. Map view and List view each have their own filters.
Map view filters
Map view has five quick-filter chips, in this order:
Offline · Critical · Low Refill · Low Battery · Healthy
Selecting a chip shows only the dispensers in that state; select it again, or use the times icon on the chip, to remove it. Several chips can be active at once. There is no Warning chip.
The Filters sidebar holds two sections only:
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Departments | Show only dispensers in selected departments. Each has a checkbox, with a select-all at the section head. |
| Status | The same five health statuses as the chips, as checkboxes. |
The sidebar's buttons are Clear and Done.
List view filters
List view has a search field and its own filters: Status, Department, Dispenser Type, and Location. Selecting a Dispenser Type, department, or status in a row also filters the list by it.
The chips and the Status filter use the same five summary statuses as the per-row Status column. Dispensers fitted with an ES8 or ES10 Dispenser Beacon can also report conditions the dispenser itself detects — a communication fault, a hardware error, or a configuration problem — because those models connect to the dispenser's own module. These faults show as Critical. For the full set and who resolves each one, see Troubleshooting: A dispenser shows an error status.
Map view and list view
The page header has a Map / List toggle at all four levels, not only at the floor level:
- Map is the view each level opens on.
- List is the table of dispensers with their key fields.
Only the floor level draws an actual floor plan with dispensers placed at their installed locations. The higher levels show a card for each campus, building, or floor instead; at the building level, turn on Departments to show a card for each department.
In Map view, every level also has a Dispensers panel listing the dispensers at that level:
- Use the search field to find a dispenser.
- Each row shows the dispenser name, its department and room, and a status badge.
- Hover over a row to preview the dispenser's health: "This dispenser is operating normally." with its latest readings, or the issues it is reporting.
- Select a row to open the dispenser's details in the panel.
- At the campus, building, and Your Campuses levels, select Load more to list more dispensers.
Dispenser fields in the list
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The Dispenser name, with the Dispenser Type beneath it. There is no separate Type column — select the type to filter the list by it. |
| Department | The department the dispenser belongs to. |
| Location | Campus, building, floor, room. |
| Tag ID | The Dispenser Beacon's tag identifier. |
| Battery | Dispenser Beacon battery level. |
| Soap | Soap or sanitizer level remaining in the dispenser (when the Dispenser Beacon model reports this). |
| Refills | Refill count. |
| 24h | Activations in the last 24 hours. |
| Activations since refill | Activations counted since the dispenser was last refilled. |
| Left | Activations remaining before the dispenser needs to be refilled (when available). |
| Status | The dispenser's summary status: Offline, Critical, Low Refill, Low Battery, or Healthy. A dispenser can show more than one. Faults reported by an ES8 or ES10 Dispenser Beacon show as Critical; see Troubleshooting: A dispenser shows an error status. |
| Last refill | When the dispenser was last refilled. |
| Last sync | When the Dispenser Beacon last reported to Kio Cloud. |
Drill into a single dispenser
Selecting a dispenser on the floor plan or in the Dispensers panel opens a panel with its current details: Type, Battery, Soap Level, 24h Usage, and Last Sync. Select View Details to open the full dispenser details page.
Export, import, and create
Three actions are available from the dispenser list, at all four levels:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Export | Downloads a CSV file with dispensers matching your current filters. You can reorder the columns before downloading. |
| Import | Uploads a CSV to update dispenser records in bulk. Use this to update names, departments, or attributes across many dispensers at once. |
| Create New | Opens the form to add a single new dispenser record. |
If no dispensers match the active filters, the list shows "No dispensers match filters." Select Clear filters to reset the view.
