The Dispensers Telemetry page is a single, filterable list of every dispenser in your account along with its current telemetry readings: usage, capacity, refills, last sync, and status. Use it to investigate Dispenser Beacon health across the account when the campus-by-campus drill-down in Dispensers Management isn't the right view.
Where it is, and who has access
Dispensers Telemetry is under Management > Dispensers Telemetry in Hand Hygiene. Administrators, Users, and Contact tracers have access to it.
Note: Access here is narrower than in Dispensers Management. Viewers and Limited Users can open Dispensers Management but not Dispensers Telemetry.
What the page is for
Where Dispensers Management is hierarchical (Your Campuses, then drill in), Dispensers Telemetry lists every dispenser on one page. It is the right view when you want to:
- Sort every dispenser in the account by Capacity, Last Sync, or Lifetime Activations.
- Filter all dispensers by Dispenser name, location, or telemetry status across campuses at once. Dispenser Type can be sorted on, but not filtered.
- Review which dispensers need inspection without first drilling into a campus.
Page controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Date range | Limits the telemetry window. Maximum range is 180 days. |
| Show all Statuses | When on, the page shows every individual "Needs Clarification" issue per dispenser. When off, those issues are collapsed into a single count tag. |
| Column selector | Show or hide optional columns. |
Columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Dispenser | The Dispenser name. Select the name to open the full dispenser details page. |
| Dispenser Type | The Dispenser Type assigned to the dispenser. |
| Tag Id | The Dispenser Beacon's tag identifier. |
| Location | Campus, building, floor, room. |
| Usage in 24h | Activations in the last 24 hours. |
| Lifetime Activations | Activations counted over the Dispenser Beacon's lifetime. |
| Refills | Refill count. |
| Activations Left | Activations remaining before the dispenser needs to be refilled (when the Dispenser Beacon reports remaining capacity). |
| Capacity % | Current capacity of the dispenser, shown as a colored progress bar. Green above 50%, yellow above 25%, red at or below 25%. |
| Telemetry Update | The last time the Dispenser Beacon synced telemetry to Kio Cloud. |
| Telemetry Status | The current telemetry state, with severity tags. |
Telemetry Status tags
This page sorts every reported condition into three groups:
| Tag | Severity | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Ok | Green | No issues detected. The dispenser is reporting normally. |
| Low Refill, Low Battery | Red | These two conditions only. Each is shown as its own red tag with an exclamation icon. |
| Needs Clarification (count) | Yellow | Every other reported condition — Bad Communication, Dispenser Communication Error, Dispenser Communication Timeout, Hardware Error, Accelerometer Error, Lockout, Fault Current, Incomplete Dispense, Invalid Configuration, Refill Missing, Battery Issue, No Eos Signal, and Wrong Distributor Code. With Show all Statuses turned off these are collapsed into a single count tag; hover it to list them, or turn the toggle on to see each as its own tag. |
Note: Consumables come first here. A dispenser that is out of soap is flagged red, while one reporting a hardware or communication fault is flagged yellow under Needs Clarification. Dispensers Management groups the same conditions the other way round, treating faults as critical and low refill or low battery as a warning. When comparing the two pages, read the condition name rather than the color.
How Dispensers Telemetry differs from Dispensers Management
Both pages read the same underlying telemetry. The difference is the layout:
- Dispensers Management is the hierarchical view. Use it to see the health of a campus, a building, or a floor at a glance, with KPI tiles at each level.
- Dispensers Telemetry is the single list of every dispenser. Use it to sort and filter across the whole account or to investigate the conditions collected under "Needs Clarification" in detail.
