Note

As user can be assigned to multiple roles. For example, if a user is responsible for responding to alerts, you can assign them to both the Mobile User and Alert User roles to allow them to respond to alerts from both the mobile and web app.

Role	Permissions
Administrator	This role has full permissions — they can view and manage everything within the app. What a user assigned to this role can do: View all data and perform actions within all menus - including Alerts, Analysis, and Settings. Manage Staff including adding and editing Staff Types, Staff, and Staff Groups. Manage (add, edit, delete) Alert Rules. Note Advanced Staff (Entity) management is completed from Company Settings. This includes the capabilities to manage the advanced settings for Staff Roles (Entity Types) and Staff (Entities), including the capabilities to delete Staff Roles and Staff. For those only responsible for managing Staff, consider assigning a user to the Staff Manager role in the Entity Manager app. This role has limited permission that restricts a user to only adding and editing Staff. For those only responsible for assigning Smart Badges to Staff, consider assigning a user to the Mobile User role in the Entity Manager app. This role has limited permissions that restricts a user to assigning badges from the Kio Entity Manager mobile app.
User	This role has restricted permissions to only Alerts, Staff, and Dashboard menus — they can access all views and data within these menus and perform all actions including changing the status of an alert (acknowledged, resolved) and download alert incident reports. This role does not have permission to the Settings menu. Role is ideal for: those that require access to alert activity and metrics, and responsible for responding to alerts and tasked with documenting incident activities.
Alert User	This role has restricted permission to only the Alerts menu including the List and Simple View — they can view all alerts and details, change the status of an alert (acknowledge, resolve), and download alert incident reports. This role does not have permission to the Analysis and Settings menus. Role is ideal for: those responsible for responding to alerts and tasked with documenting alert incident activities.
Mobile User	This role has restricted permission to the Kio Staff Safe Alerts mobile app — they can view active alerts and change the status of an alert (acknowledge, resolve). This role does not have permission to the Staff Safe web app. Role is ideal for: those responsible for responding to alerts.

What a user assigned to this role can do:

Manage asset inventory (add, edit).
Manage (add, edit, delete) Alert Rules.
View-only access to Room Types and Room Matching; these settings are managed from Company Settings.

Note

Advanced asset management is completed from Company Settings by those assigned to the Company Settings Administrator role. This includes the capabilities to manage the advanced settings for Asset Types (Entity Types) and Assets (Entities), including permissions to delete Asset Types and Assets.

User

This role has permission to the search and locate assets, manage asset inventory, view and respond to alerts, and access to analytics — they can view all data within these menus and perform all actions.

This role does not have permission to the Settings menu.

Role is ideal for: those that need to locate assets, responsible for asset management, tagging assets, and responding to alerts, and viewing analytics.

Search user

This role has permission locate assets - either from the Assets Search or Map view.

This role does not have permission to the Settings menu and cannot view alerts or analysis menus.

Role is ideal for: those that only need to locate assets.

IV Pump: roles and permissions

Manage inventory; limited to basic settings.
Manage (add, edit, delete) Alert Rules.
View-only permissions to Room Types and Room Matching; these settings are managed from the Company Settings app.

Advanced management is completed from Company Settings. This includes the capabilities to manage the advanced settings for IV Pump Types (Entity Types) and IV Pumps (Entities), including the capabilities to delete IV Pump Types and IV Pumps.
