Create a campus

A campus is the top of the Smart Location hierarchy. Create a campus first, then create its buildings, then each floor and its rooms.

Before you begin

  • Signed in to Kio Cloud with the Smart Location Administrator or Creator role

Steps

  1. Open Smart Location from the Kio Cloud Launchpad.
  2. In the navigation, select Campuses.
  3. Select Add Campus.
  4. Enter a Name for the campus.
  5. Enter an Address. Selecting an address positions the campus on the map view.
  6. (Optional) Enter a Description and add an Image for the campus.
  7. Select Save.

The campus appears in the Campuses list and in the navigation.

What happens next

Add a building to the campus. Buildings, floors, and rooms must be created before Infrastructure devices can be installed or Kio Apps can display location data.
