Add users to a Group so they inherit the Group's application roles and campus access.
Before you start
- Required role: User Management Administrator
- The Group must already exist. See Create a Group.
- Members can only be added to Managed groups. SSO group membership is managed in your identity provider.
Steps
- From the Kontakt.io Launchpad, open Users.
- From the side menu, select Groups.
- Select the Group you want to add members to.
- In the Members section, select Edit.
- Select Add Members.
- Search for and select the users to add. You can select multiple users at once.
- Select Add Selected (N), where N is the number of users you selected.
- Select Save.
The selected users are added to the Group and immediately inherit its application roles and campus access.
Remove a member
- Open the Group's details page.
- In the Members section, select Edit.
- Select the remove icon next to the user you want to remove.
- Select Save.
Removing a user from a Group removes the roles and campus access they inherited from that Group. If the user has those roles or campus assignments on their individual user profile, those remain unaffected.
Notes
- Members added to a Group show a Pending status until the changes are saved.
- If a member update cannot be completed, a warning appears. Check the status of the user's profile and try again.
