Room Occupancy mode configures the Portal Beam to detect whether a space is occupied and by how many people, using its thermal camera. Use this mode for meeting rooms, patient rooms, offices, and any space where you need to know current occupancy count.
The operation mode is set at installation and cannot be changed without re-running the installation workflow.

- Smart Location is complete — campus, building, floor, and room are created for the install location

What happens next
The Portal Beam is configured for Room Occupancy and assigned to its Smart Location room. It begins detecting and reporting occupancy data to Kio Cloud through the nearest Portal Light. Occupancy data appears in Workspace Insights and any other Kio Apps using occupancy data for this location.
Verify the Portal Beam is reporting by checking its device detail view — the Occupancy telemetry field shows the current people count when the device is within Bluetooth range.
To confirm the thermal camera is detecting correctly, run Verify thermal camera from the device's action menu after installation.
