The device detail view shows a device's current status, configuration, and live telemetry readings. Use it to verify a device is online after installation, check battery level, review assigned location, or access configuration and diagnostic options.
Before you begin
- Signed in to Kio Setup Manager
- The device is in your Kio Cloud inventory
Steps
Find the device using one of the following methods:
- Tap Devices in the bottom navigation bar, select the My Devices tab, and tap the device name
- Tap Devices, select the Nearby tab, wait for the scan to populate, and tap the device
- Tap Scan in the bottom navigation bar and scan the device's QR code or barcode
Review the information in the device detail view:
Section What it shows Status Current operational state (Online, Offline, etc.) Battery Current battery percentage Firmware Installed firmware version; flag if an update is available Location Assigned Smart Location — campus, building, floor, room Telemetry Live sensor readings: temperature, humidity, RSSI, motion, and others depending on device type
Note: Live telemetry readings are only shown when the device is within Bluetooth range. When viewing a device from cloud inventory without Bluetooth proximity, the fields show the last recorded values and their timestamp.
- Tap the actions menu to open configuration, start a firmware update, or access installation and diagnostic workflows.
What happens next
From the device detail view, you can open the configuration editor, trigger a firmware update, start an installation or reconfiguration workflow, or run device diagnostics. The available actions depend on the device model.
