Install Kio Entity Manager

Install Kio Entity Manager on your mobile device to assign tags to assets or Smart Badges to staff.

Before you begin

  • iOS or Android mobile device meeting the minimum requirements:
    • iPhone or iPad: iOS 17 or later
    • Android phone or tablet: Android 8 or later. NFC hardware is required to activate Sticker Tags.
  • Wi-Fi or mobile data connection with internet access

Steps

iOS (iPhone or iPad):

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Search for Kio Entity Manager.
  3. Tap Get to download and install the app.

Android:

  1. Open Google Play.
  2. Search for Kio Entity Manager.
  3. Tap Install.

All platforms — after installation:

  1. Open Kio Entity Manager.
  2. When prompted, grant the following permissions:
    • Camera — required to scan QR codes and barcodes
    • NFC (iPhone only) — required to scan Sticker Tags
  3. Turn on Bluetooth in your mobile device's Settings.

Note: If you dismiss a permission prompt during setup, you can enable it later in your mobile device's Settings app under Kio Entity Manager > Permissions.

What happens next

Kio Entity Manager is installed and ready to use. Open the app and sign in with your Kio Cloud user credentials to continue.

If your user profile is not assigned to the Entity Manager Mobile User role, contact your Kio User Management Administrator.
