Sign in with your Kio Cloud account. You do this once on each phone — the app remembers you afterwards.
Before you begin
Before you start, make sure the following are complete:
- Kio Nurse Assistant is installed on your phone. See Install Kio Nurse Assistant.
- Your phone has Wi-Fi with internet access.
- You are assigned at least one role in the Kio Nurse (Mobile) section of the Users app. See About user access to Kio Nurse Assistant.
- You know your account's Region and Tenant ID. Both appear in the address you use to sign in to the Kontakt.io platform in a web browser —
https://[Tenant ID].app.cloud.[us or uk].kontakt.io— and your Kio administrator can also provide them.
Steps
Open Kio Nurse Assistant.
Tap Kio Cloud Account.

Select your Region — United States or United Kingdom.
Note: Select Custom Region only when Kontakt.io tells you to.

From Enter Tenant ID: enter the account Tenant ID > tap Continue > sign in with your user credentials.
- For a non-tenant account, tap I don't have Tenant ID > enter your Kio Cloud user profile email address and password.
Result
On iPhone, what you see next depends on your roles:
- Both roles — the app asks Choose what you'd like to do. Tap View Hand Hygiene activity or Find nearby tracked assets. To switch later, open the menu at the top left of any Hand Hygiene tab, or of the Find tab.
- Hand Hygiene User only — the app opens on the Journey tab.
- Asset Tracking User only — the app opens on Find, and asks you to set your workplace the first time. See Set up your workplace in Kio Nurse Assistant.
On Android, the app always opens on finding equipment, because the Android app has no Hand Hygiene mode.
The app remembers you on this phone. You do not sign in again unless you sign out, your session expires, or the app is reinstalled.

Sign out
How you sign out depends on where you are in the app:

| Finding equipment | Go to Settings and tap Log out. |
| Hand Hygiene (iPhone) | Tap the sign-out icon at the top right of the Journey, Race, or Rewards tab, then tap Log out to confirm. |
If you hold only the Hand Hygiene User role, the app has no mode chooser and no Settings, so use the sign-out icon on a Hand Hygiene tab.
What signing out clears on that phone:
- Both platforms: the roles saved for your account.
- Android: also your workplace and quick picks.
- iPhone: your workplace and quick picks are kept for your account, so they're back the next time you sign in. The next staff member to sign in on a shared ward phone doesn't see them.
