Create a policy stream action

To send event data to an AWS Kinesis or Azure Event Hub stream when a condition is met, first create a stream action. Once created, you can assign the stream action to one or many policies. To learn more about the event data, see Streams event data.

Before you begin

  • Your administrator grants access to set up actions in the Users app.

Steps

  1. Open Policy Foundry from the Kontakt.io Launchpad, select Templates, then select Streams.

  2. Select New stream, then choose Create from scratch or Create based on an existing stream.

  3. Enter a Name, then from Cloud Technology select either AWS Kinesis or Azure Event HUB.

  4. Enter the stream settings.

    AWS Kinesis stream: Endpoint, secret key, stream name, region, access key, and forced partition key (optional).

    Azure Event Hub stream: Endpoint, shared access key name, shared access key, and event hub name.

  5. Select Save.

    You can now assign this stream action to a policy. See Create a new policy to monitor a condition.
