During this step you will set up your Kontakt.io IoT devices to get them deployed and ready for use. This step varies by the device type, that being Tags or Portal Beams.
If you submitted a Cisco Spaces integration request, once you receive confirmation that it's been completed, you can then proceed to set up your devices.
Tags are devices that are moving and are either attached to mobile equipment or are wearables that are worn by people. Setting up tags only require you to verify they are powered on and ready for use.
Select the Tag model being deployed to learn more about its power features.
-
Asset Tag 2 (by default, delivered with their power ON and ready for use)
-
Smart Badge (by default, delivered with their power ON and ready for use)
-
Nano Tag (must be powered on for use)
Portal Beams, categorized as Kontakt.io Infrastructure devices, are stationary and maintain a fixed position within a given location. Unique to Portal Beams, they are required to be set up and installed using the Kio Setup Manager mobile app and are assigned to their room installation location within Kio Cloud Smart Location.
Our integration team will notify you when your Portal Beams have been provisioned within your Kio Cloud account and are ready for installation.
Kontakt.io IoT devices, along with the Kio Cloud platform, deliver multiple use-case solutions from asset tracking, staff duress and safety, patient experience and safety, room and seat-level occupancy, building people footfall traffic, to indoor environmental monitoring.
When the Kio Cloud app is activated from Cisco Spaces, along with a Kontakt.io Cloud subscription, be sure to learn more about Kio Cloud data to begin your IoT integration with Kontakt.io.
