When you receive a Kontakt.io order, the Order ID is required to be claimed within your organization's Kio Cloud account. Once claimed, the order's devices are added to the account and can be deployed and installed. Each Order ID can only be claimed once, by one account.
Note: Integrated with Cisco Spaces? You must claim Kontakt.io orders from your Cisco Spaces account, not Kio Cloud.
Things to know
To claim an order, you must be assigned to the Device Management Administrator or Inventory Manager role. Learn more about roles.
You'll need the Kontakt.io Order ID provided on the Quick Start Guide included in the order packaging. The Order ID is also provided in the order confirmation emails.
How to claim an Order ID
-
From a web browser, sign in to Kio Cloud using the URL for your organization’s account type:
Tenant account: (organization-specific URL): https://[Tenant ID].app.cloud.[us or uk].kontakt.io
Standard account: (no Tenant ID in the URL)
United States/North America, https://cloud.kontakt.io
UK/EU: https://cloud.uk.kontakt.io
From your Kontakt.io Launchpad, select Device Management.
-
From the Add Devices menu, select Claim Order.
If you don’t see Add Devices, you’re not assigned to the required Device Management role. Contact your Kio Cloud user administrator.
-
Enter your Kontakt.io Order ID exactly as it appears (it's'case-sensitive) > select Claim order.
The devices from the order are added to your account and are ready to deploy and install.
Troubleshooting wrong Order ID error
If you receive a wrong order ID error:
- Make sure the order ID is entered exactly as shown ((it's case-sensitive).
- Confirm the order hasn’t already been claimed — an Order ID is a one-time use code. Go to Device Management, open the Tags or Infrastructure menu, and check whether the devices and Order ID are listed.
