To keep your asset inventory in reliable working condition and minimize downtime, Asset Tracker provides the capabilities to track and monitor preventative maintenance for individual assets. By setting a maintenance schedule and using filters to identify assets due for service, teams can better plan their workload, reduce unexpected failures, and stay on top of critical equipment care.

Each asset can be configured with the following preventative maintenance settings:

Maintenance required—select Yes when an asset requires regular preventative maintenance and tracking

Next maintenance date—provide the next scheduled maintenance date for the asset
These fields are managed directly from an asset’s profile and can be set when adding assets and kept up-to-date as part of an your asset lifecycle management workflow.

Set “Maintenance required” to Yes for all assets that follow a recurring preventative maintenance schedule.

Update the next maintenance date whenever an asset is serviced.

Daily or weekly, be sure to identify which assets have upcoming maintenance due dates.

From your Kontakt.io Launchpad, select Asset Tracker.

From left menu, select Asset Management.

From the list, locate the asset > select its Asset ID or Asset Name.

From its profile, select Edit.

From the Preventative Maintenance section, set the following settings.
Maintenance required: select Yes to indicate that this asset should be tracked for preventative maintenance.
Next maintenance date: select the date by which the asset’s next preventative maintenance must be completed.

Once complete, select Save.
To streamline maintenance workflows, you can filter assets by their upcoming due date or identify those with overdue maintenance directly from the Asset Management view. This view also provides the real-time location of each asset, allowing staff to quickly locate an asset that requires maintenance.

From your Kontakt.io Launchpad, select Asset Tracker.

From left menu, select Asset Management.

Select the Add a filter option > select Maintenance Date.

Choose from one of the filter options. These details can help your maintenance team prioritize tasks, reduce risk, and prevent missing a scheduled maintenance.

After applying a filter, you can also use the Export option to download the filtered list as a CSV file for reporting or team scheduling.
