The Configuration page sets display behaviors that apply to Asset Tracker for your whole organization. Use it to control how the Assets Search floor map and asset list behave for everyone who uses the app.
Before you begin
- You are assigned the Asset Tracker Administrator role. Other roles do not have access to Settings.
Configure the settings
- In Asset Tracker, open Settings > Configuration.
- Select Edit.
- To tint each room on the map by its room type, turn on Color rooms by room type on the map. This helps staff recognize a floor's layout at a glance when they search and locate assets.
- To have all asset types selected when Assets Search opens — which displays every asset on the floor map — turn on Pre-select all assets on page load. When this is off, the selection starts empty and users select an asset type or apply filters to control what appears.
- Select Save. To discard your changes instead, select Cancel.
Result
Your changes apply to every Asset Tracker user in your organization the next time they open Assets Search. With Color rooms by room type on the map on, rooms appear tinted by their room type and a legend identifies the colors. With Pre-select all assets on page load on, Assets Search opens with all asset types selected, so every asset appears on the floor map.
