The Configuration page sets display behaviors that apply to Asset Tracker for your whole organization. Use it to control how the asset search map and asset list behave for everyone who uses the app.
Before you begin
- You are assigned the Asset Tracker Administrator role. Other roles do not have access to Settings.
Configure the settings
- In Asset Tracker, open Settings > Configuration.
- Select Edit.
- To tint each room on the map by its room type, turn on Color rooms by room type on the map. This helps staff recognize a floor's layout at a glance when they search and locate assets.
- To have every asset selected by default when the asset search view opens, turn on Pre-select all assets on page load. When this is off, users start with no assets selected and choose what to display.
- Select Save.
Result
Your changes apply to every Asset Tracker user in your organization the next time they open the asset search view. With Color rooms by room type on the map on, rooms appear tinted by their room type; with Pre-select all assets on page load on, the view opens with all assets already selected.
