Change a dispenser's name, Dispenser ID, linked Dispenser Beacon, or attributes, or remove a dispenser that is no longer in use. For how Dispenser Types and Dispensers work, see About dispenser management.
Before you begin
- You're signed in to Hand Hygiene with the Administrator role. Dispensers are managed in Settings, which only the Administrator role has access to.
Edit a Dispenser when its name, Dispenser ID, linked Dispenser Beacon (Assigned Tag), or attributes change — for example when a Dispenser Beacon is replaced. The Dispenser Type can't be changed in Hand Hygiene; change it in Kio Cloud Company Settings. There is no location to edit: a Dispenser's location follows its assigned Dispenser Beacon.
- From the Kontakt.io Launchpad, open Hand Hygiene.
- From the Settings menu, select Dispensers.
- Find the Dispenser in the list. Use the search field or the column filters to narrow it down.
- In the Actions column, select the edit icon.
- Change the values you need.
- Select Save.
To change many Dispensers at once, use the Import Wizard rather than editing them one at a time. See Add multiple Dispensers at one time (bulk import).
Important: A Dispenser cannot be deleted from inside Hand Hygiene. Deleting one is done in Kio Cloud Company Settings, under Entity Management. Dispensers are shared Entities, and the same record can be in use by other Kio Apps, so removal is handled where the whole Entity is managed rather than from a single app's view.
