Each Kontakt.io device has its own profile, which brings together its current status, its settings, and its firmware version. The available settings vary by model, matching the features of each device.
Infrastructure devices are installed with the Kio Setup Manager mobile app and assigned to their install location.
The tabs below give a high-level overview of what a device profile includes. Which tabs you see depends on the device model and its features, so a given Infrastructure device may not show every tab.

| General | The device's specifications, settings, and current status. At the top, the Status field shows whether the device is Online or Offline. When a device is Offline, point to the information icon next to its status to see the reason. The General tab also shows the device's Battery level, First Online date, and Last Online date. Settings include the Device Name (set by default to the device's Kontakt.io product name), Tags (a way to group or categorize devices), and the Deployment Status. The Notes field is for your own informational notes. The General tab also includes deployment details — Installer Name, Installer Email, and Deployment Date — that you can record for each device. |
| Sensors/IR (BLE-only Infrastructure devices) | Settings for the device's sensors and infrared (IR) capabilities. Kontakt.io devices may include sensors such as a temperature sensor that measures ambient conditions, an accelerometer that detects movement, and button sensors that trigger events when pressed. |
| Occupancy (Portal Beam only) | Settings for a Portal Beam used for room and seat-level occupancy (static) and footfall traffic (counts of people entering and exiting a space). You update a Portal Beam's occupancy mode onsite with the Kio Setup Manager; on this tab, the Occupancy Mode settings (other than the Sampling Interval) show the device's current mode. The Configuration Image is the last image captured during the Portal Beam's installation, kept as a reference for troubleshooting. |

| Power Saving (BLE-only Infrastructure devices) | Set when a battery-powered device broadcasts by turning on a Power Saving mode. In a power-saving state, a device uses less power to extend its battery life. See About device power saving management. |
| Security (BLE-only Infrastructure devices) | Read-only details for the device's secure shuffling configuration. To prevent spoofing or cloning, devices can rotate (shuffle) their iBeacon and Eddystone identifiers. Secure shuffling is configured through the Device Management API. |
