Disable a user to temporarily block their access while keeping their user profile, or delete a user to permanently remove their profile from your organization's Kio account. Disabling is reversible; deleting is not.
Before you start
- Required role: User Management Administrator
- Enabling, disabling, and deleting apply to users managed in Kio Cloud. SSO users do not have an enable or disable control in the Users app, because their access is managed by your identity provider.
Disable a user
A disabled user keeps their profile, roles, and campus assignments but they user cannot sign in.
- From the Kontakt.io Launchpad, open Users.
- From the side menu, select Users Management.
- Select the user you want to disable.
- Turn off the User enabled toggle.
- Confirm when prompted.
The user can no longer sign in. Their profile and all of its assignments remain in place.
Enable a user
- Open the user's profile.
- Turn on the User enabled toggle.
- Confirm when prompted.
The user can sign in again with their existing access.
Delete a user
Caution: Deleting a user is permanent. The user's profile is removed and cannot be recovered. If you only need to block access temporarily, disable the user instead.
- From the side menu, select Users Management.
- Find the user in the Users list.
- Select the delete action for that user.
- Confirm when prompted.
The user is removed from the Users list and can no longer sign in.
