When the same ambient range needs to apply to many Rooms, you can assign one Threshold Setting to all of them at once from the Monitoring view, instead of updating each Room individually.
Before you begin
- You are signed in with the Administrator or System Manager role.
- The Threshold Setting you want to assign exists and uses the Rooms—Ambient Temperature & Humidity type. See Create a Threshold Setting.
- The Rooms appear in Temperature Monitoring, which means a Monitor is installed for each.
Steps
- From the Kontakt.io Launchpad, open Temperature Monitoring.
- Select Monitoring, then open the Rooms tab.
- Use the filters and the row checkboxes to select the Rooms to update. The Assign Threshold action stays disabled until you select at least one.
- Select the Actions menu, then Assign Threshold.
- Choose the Threshold Setting to apply, then select Review.
- Review the selected Rooms, then select Apply.
Result
The Threshold Setting is applied to every selected Room, and the update is sent to each Monitor. A Room may show Data out of sync briefly while the change is sent; this usually clears within a few minutes.
Important: The new range takes effect immediately. If a current ambient reading is outside it, an excursion and alert can trigger right away. Confirm the Threshold Setting is correct before you select Apply.
If a change does not sync
If a Room stays Data out of sync for more than 10 minutes, reconfigure that Monitor in Kio Setup Manager. See Troubleshooting: Threshold change not syncing.
