Use Track your device to trigger a proximity indicator on a Beam Mini, confirming which physical device corresponds to a device record in Kio Setup Manager. Use this when multiple Beam Mini devices are mounted nearby and you need to identify a specific one before installing or troubleshooting it.
Note: Track your device is not available for Cisco-integrated deployments.
Before you begin
- Signed in to Kio Setup Manager with the Device Management role
- Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device
- Within Bluetooth range of the Beam Mini (typically within 10 meters)
Steps
- Tap Devices in the bottom navigation bar.
- Locate the Beam Mini in My Nearby Devices or search for it in My Devices.
- Tap the device to open its detail view.
- Tap Track your device.
The Beam Mini responds with a proximity indicator for approximately 10 seconds. Confirm visually that the correct physical device responded before continuing.
What happens next
The proximity indicator stops after the sequence completes. If there is no response, confirm Bluetooth is enabled and you are within range of the device.
