A Dispenser Beacon is a BLE device that attaches to a soap or sanitizer dispenser and reports usage data, tracking how often the dispenser is activated to support hand hygiene compliance monitoring. Dispenser Beacons are installed using the guided workflow in Kio Setup Manager and managed from the Devices screen.

Install — Step-by-step guided installation assigns the Dispenser Beacon to a Smart Location room. Access from the Install screen and select Dispenser Beacon.
View device details — See device status, firmware version, location assignment, and live telemetry including dispenser activation events and battery level.
Track your device — Shows your proximity to the device based on Bluetooth signal strength, helping you identify a specific unit on-site.
Synchronize Internal State — Synchronizes the device's internal clock, firmware version, status, and configuration with Kio Cloud. Use when a device's local time or data appears incorrect.

When a Dispenser Beacon is within Bluetooth range, its device detail view shows:
