What is Kio Cloud?
Kio Cloud is Kontakt.io's cloud-based platform - a Cisco Spaces Partner App.
The Kio Cloud apps
These apps are the core apps that support the healthcare solution-based apps.
Company Settings: Manages the shared components used across the Kio Apps, including Entity Types and Entities, Room Types and Room Matching, and webhooks for sending alerts to external systems.
Device Health: Monitors device health and notifies staff when battery levels reach defined thresholds or Portal Lights go offline.
Device Management: Manages Kontakt.io IoT devices across your deployments. Devices can also be managed through our Device Management API and SDKs.
Entity Manager: Creates and manages Entities (assets and staff) shared across the Kio Apps. Entities can also be imported and updated through our Entity Management Integration API.
Policy Foundry: Manages policies that send events to external apps based on device activity, occupancy thresholds, battery levels, and location changes.
Smart Location: Manages the mapping of campuses, buildings, floors with digital floor plans, rooms, and departments. Smart Location is the location topology that is used by the Kio Cloud Location and Occupancy Engine that computes accurate, room-level data for Kontakt.io's RTLS, occupancy, and indoor navigation solutions.
Users: Manages users, Groups, role-based access control (RBAC) by app, and campus access across the platform, along with API clients for third-party integrations. Single sign-on (SSO) integration supported.
Kio Cloud APIs and mobile SDKs
Integrate into your web and iOS and Android apps with the Kontakt.io APIs and SDKs.
Device Management REST API: Configure, monitor, and manage your Kontakt.io devices in Kio Cloud.
Location & Occupancy REST API and Streams: Real-time and historical Kio Cloud data including location and occupancy, and the full spectrum of telemetry data from Kontakt.io IoT devices.
Entity Management Integration API: Imports and updates entities(staff, assets) from external systems and retrieves their current details in Kio Cloud.
Android & iOS mobile SDKs: Complete development libraries that enable you to power your mobile apps.
