The Telemetry Sync tool in the Kio Setup Manager mobile app allows you to send nearby BLE-only device data directly from your mobile device to Kio Cloud. This tool is useful when you need to sync local device telemetry data with the cloud without relying on Portal Lights or other compatible BLE to W-Fi gateways.

You don’t have a Portal Light or BLE to Wi-Fi gateway infrastructure .

You want to send local device data to the cloud.

You need to troubleshoot whether BLE-only devices are correctly sending data to the cloud.

You've replaced a device's battery and the battery level in the cloud has not be reset.

Collects telemetry data from nearby Kontakt.io BLE-only devices, such as Asset Tags, Smart Badges, or Beams.

Updates the cloud with the latest telemetry data using your mobile device’s internet connection.

Reports key information such as: battery level, button press history (if supported), last activity timestamps
Be sure you're within Bluetooth range of the devices you want to sync.

Tap Tools > Telemetry Sync.
Optionally, go to Devices > from the My Devices menu (upper-left) > tap Telemetry Sync.

The app automatically begins scanning, collecting telemetry, and pushing data to Kio Cloud.

The screen displays:
Elapsed time: how long the sync session has been running.
Synced devices: devices that have successfully synced data to the cloud.
Pending devices: devices detected but not yet synced.
For each device: Device ID, Signal strength (dBm), Battery level (%), MAC address

Leave the app running until all devices move from Pending to Synced.
