Every entity has a status that reflects its current state. Kio Apps display and filter by entity status.
Standard entity statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | The entity is not currently in use and is ready to be assigned or deployed |
| Utilized | The entity is currently in use |
| Down | The entity is out of service or undergoing maintenance |
| Unavailable | The entity cannot be used, for a reason other than being down |
| Unknown | The entity's status cannot be determined — typically because no Tag is assigned or the Tag has not been detected |
Tag statuses
In addition to entity status, each entity displays the state of its assigned Tag.
| Tag status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Online | The Tag is active and reporting location data |
| Not Assigned | No Tag has been linked to this entity |
| Lost | The Tag has not been detected for an extended period |
| Deactivated | The Tag has been manually deactivated |
| Deleted | The Tag has been removed from the account |
Custom statuses
Entity type administrators can add custom status categories and statuses beyond the standard set. Custom statuses are configured per entity type during the status step of the Create Entity Type wizard, or on the entity type's details page.
