Effective October 1, 2022 the Kio Gateway Installer app will be deprecated and removed from the app stores. You'll need to switch to using the Kio Setup Manager app for the onsite setup, installation, and monitoring of your Kontakt.io devices.
Essentially our product team merged the Kio Gateway Installer app features into our first-generation mobile apps (iOS Kontakt.io Administration App and the Android Kio Tag Administrator) and renamed these apps to the Kio Setup Manager. Our goal was to eliminate any confusion on which Kontakt.io mobile app to use - now there will only be one Kontakt.io iOS and Android mobile device management app.
Download and switch to using the Kio Setup Manager app. Be sure to give the app permissions when prompted and it's always best to allow the app to receive automatic updates. And once downloaded, we do recommend removing the Kio Gateway Installer app.
-
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store

When installing new devices, the app guides you through each step. Also, you can use the guided steps to update a device's installation and location configuration.
The app provides an intuitive look into your Kontakt.io devices. You'll notice it's a little different than the Kio Gateway Installer app - this app does not segment the devices by gateways and beacons.

For those accounts that have a Kio Cloud subscription, you'll have permission to the app Bulk Update/Edit feature. From here, you can set the app to apply updates to multiple devices at the same time. Devices will need to be nearby to receive a bulk update, but you can set the bulk changes and then go to locally to each device to allow them to receive and apply the update.
