The Kontakt.io platform is a suite of cloud-based and mobile applications that serves as the central hub for managing Kontakt.io devices, user access, mapped locations, and more. It also provides access to solution-specific apps like Asset Tracker.
-
Kontakt.io Tags are assigned and attached to each tracked asset (mobile medical equipment).
These Tags continuously broadcast their location data over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless technology and their data is then received by some type of BLE to Wi-Fi Infrastructure device—such as Kontakt.io Portal Lights or other BLE-enabled Access Points.
-
BLE to Wi-Fi Infrastructure devices are installed in rooms and corridors.
These devices receive and send Kontakt.io Tag location data to the Kontakt.io platform over their connection to the local Wi-Fi network.
Your organization may also have Kontakt.io Beam Minis installed in rooms for 99% room-level accuracy with low latency (< 10 seconds).
