Respond to an alert from a notification

When an Alert Rule names you as a recipient, you receive a notification by email, SMS, or another channel the rule uses. The notification lets you respond without first opening the Temperature Monitoring app. Use this path when an alert reaches you while you are away from the app.

Steps

  1. Open the notification you received. It identifies the affected Storage Unit or Room, the alert type, and when the alert was triggered.
  2. Select the link in the notification. It opens the alert in Temperature Monitoring.
  3. Sign in if prompted.
  4. Review the alert details, including the current reading and the threshold it crossed.
  5. Select Acknowledge to confirm you are handling the alert.
  6. Take corrective action according to your facility's procedures.
  7. Select Resolve, choose a Corrective Action, and confirm.

Result

The alert is acknowledged and resolved from the same place a responder working in the Temperature Monitoring web app would resolve it. The response is recorded in the alert's history.

Note: A notification reports the condition at the time it was sent. Always open the alert to confirm the current reading before deciding on corrective action.
