Resolving an alert closes it and records the corrective action you took. Resolve an alert after you have addressed the problem it reported, following your facility's procedures. Resolving documents the response for audits and accreditation reviews.
An alert does not resolve on its own, even after the reading returns to its normal range. Resolving is always a deliberate action by a person.
Before you begin
- You have taken the corrective action your facility requires for this alerting condition.
- You are signed in to your organization's Kontakt.io Kio account from a web browser.
- Your user profile is assigned to a Temperature Monitoring role: Administrator, System Manager, Facilities Manager, Monitoring User, or User.
Steps
- From the Kontakt.io Launchpad, open Temperature Monitoring.
- Select Alerts.
- Select the alert you are resolving.
- Select Resolve.
- Choose the Corrective Action that best describes what you did.
- Add any notes your facility's procedures require, such as actions taken or product affected.
- Select Resolve to confirm.
Result
The alert status changes to Resolved and the alert leaves the active Alerts list. On a Temp Monitor Pro, resolving also silences the device's audible alarm if it is still sounding (the Temp Monitor Lite has no audible alarm). The resolution, including the code and notes, is recorded in the alert's history and available in reports as part of the audit trail.
A resolved alert cannot be reopened. If the same condition occurs again, Temperature Monitoring generates a new alert.
