A report is a generated PDF record of what Temperature Monitoring observed: the readings from your Storage Units and Rooms, the alerts and corrective actions, the audit activity, or device calibration. Reports are the audit trail you present to regulators and accreditation bodies, and the everyday record your team keeps for review.
Monitoring and alerts answer "what is happening now." Reports answer "what happened over this period, for these Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors," and produce a document you can file, sign, and share.
What you can report on
A report covers the Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors you choose over a time range you set. The data in the report depends on the report type: continuous readings, alert history, audit activity, or calibration status. See Report types for what each one contains.
One-time and recurring reports
When you select Generate Report, the Choose a report mode dialog asks how the report should be generated:
- A one-time report (One-Time Report) is generated once, for a period and the Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors you choose. Use it to answer a specific question or prepare for a specific review.
- A recurring report (Recurring or On-Demand Report) is generated on a schedule you define, such as a monthly summary of every pharmacy refrigerator, and is delivered automatically. A recurring report is built from a report profile that captures which Storage Units, Rooms, and Monitors to include. You can also set a profile to On-Demand only, so it generates a report on demand without a schedule.
Report profiles capture equipment at creation
A recurring report profile records the specific Storage Units and Rooms to include at the time you create it. Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors you add to your facility later are not pulled into an existing profile automatically. When you add new Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors, update the profiles that should cover them. See Manage report profiles.
How readings are chosen
For continuous-reading reports, Temperature Monitoring uses the sensor that matches what is being monitored:
- A Room report uses the Monitor's internal ambient sensor.
- A Storage Unit on a Temp Monitor Pro uses the probe readings.
- A Storage Unit on a Temp Monitor Lite uses the Monitor's internal sensor.
Format and delivery
Reports are produced as PDF files. Every report is emailed to you when it is ready and is also available to download from the Reports History tab; you can add other recipients when you create the report. Reports include space for a physical signature where your procedures require sign-off.
