A recurring report is produced on a schedule and delivered automatically, so a routine record, such as a monthly summary of every pharmacy refrigerator, is created without anyone doing it manually. The schedule is built from a report profile that captures which Storage Units, Rooms, and Monitors to include.
Before you begin
- You are signed in with a role that can create reports: Administrator, System Manager, or Facilities Manager.
- The Storage Units or Rooms you want to include already exist.
- You know who, if anyone, should receive the report in addition to you. The report is always sent to its creator.
Steps
- From the Kontakt.io Launchpad, open Temperature Monitoring.
- Select Reports.
- Select Generate Report. The Choose a report mode dialog opens.
- Choose Recurring or On-Demand Report, then continue.
- On How would you like to start?, choose Start with Report Type or Start with Entities. Both paths reach the same setup; your choice only sets the order of the next two steps.
- Choose the report type and the Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors to include, in the order set by your choice in the previous step. The profile records this selection.
- Set the schedule. The fields appear in this order:
- Generate every: a number and an interval of days, weeks, or months.
- Repeat on (weeks) or Monthly on (months): which day or days each cycle falls on. This field appears only for a weekly or monthly interval.
- Time of day: when each report generates.
- First report date: when the schedule starts.
- Recurrence ends: Never, On a date, or After a number of occurrences.
- Add recipients. The report is always emailed to you (its creator); add any other email addresses that should also receive each generated report. Recipients don't have to be Kio Cloud users.
- Review the summary, give the profile a name you will recognize, then select Save Report Profile.
Note: To create a profile you can generate on demand without a schedule, turn on On-Demand only. This removes the recurring schedule fields and sets the profile's status to On demand. You can turn it off later to add a schedule.
Result
The report profile appears in your reports list and follows the schedule you set. Each time it generates, it produces a PDF that is delivered to the recipients and kept in the reports list to download.
Important: The profile includes the Storage Units, Rooms, and Monitors you selected when you created it. Storage Units, Rooms, or Monitors you add later are not included automatically. Update the profile when you add a Storage Unit, Room, or Monitor it should cover. See Manage report profiles.
