Temperature Monitoring adds a new Data out of sync alert type for Alert Rules. It notifies you when a Monitor stops sending data to Kio Cloud for longer than a period you choose — so a Monitor that has gone quiet is caught before it leaves a gap in your temperature record.
What's new
Data out of sync joins the existing Alert Rule types as a fifth selectable type. When you create an Alert Rule, you can now choose Data out of sync and set how long a Monitor may go without syncing data before the alert triggers.
- Applies to Monitors. The rule watches whether each Monitor is still reporting data to Kio Cloud.
- Choose the threshold: 7, 14, or 21 days. The default is 7 days.
- Notifications work like other Alert Rules — the people or systems you add to the rule are notified when it triggers.
Use it to catch Monitors that have stopped reporting because of a connectivity, gateway, or power issue, so you can restore data collection before an audit or review depends on it.
What to do
No action is required. Existing Alert Rules continue to operate normally.
To start using it:
- In Temperature Monitoring, go to Settings > Alert Rules.
- Select Create Alert Rule, then choose the Data out of sync alert type.
- Set the threshold (7, 14, or 21 days), choose which Monitors the rule applies to, and add notification recipients.
- Review and save.
