This release adds visibility into periods when a Temp Monitor was in Paused Mode. Measurement History now highlights paused periods on charts and records when Paused Mode was turned on and off, including who performed each action. Generated reports now include the same pause events, making it easier to review historical measurements and understand why Threshold and Hardware Error alerts were paused.
Improved — Measurement History
Paused periods are highlighted on charts
When Turn On Paused Mode is selected for a Temp Monitor in the Kio Setup Manager app, Measurement History highlights the paused period with a grey background. When Turn Off Paused Mode is selected, the chart returns to its normal white background.
This makes it easy to distinguish readings collected while Paused Mode was active from readings collected during normal monitoring.
Pause activity is recorded
Measurement History now records when Paused Mode starts and ends.
Each pause event includes:
- Pause started and Pause ended
- The date and time of the event
- The user who turned Paused Mode on or off
These events appear alongside recorded measurements, providing a complete history of pause activity.
Reports include paused periods
Generated reports now include the same Pause started and Pause ended events shown in Measurement History, providing additional context when reviewing historical measurement data.
How Paused Mode works
A Temp Monitor assigned to a Storage Unit or Room can be placed into Paused Mode from the Kio Setup Manager app by selecting Turn On Paused Mode. To resume normal operation, select Turn Off Paused Mode.
Paused Mode is commonly used during planned activities, such as equipment maintenance, cleaning, defrosting, calibration, or other situations where temporary changes in environmental conditions are expected. This helps prevent expected conditions from triggering Threshold or Hardware Error alerts while measurements continue to be recorded.
While Paused Mode is active:
- The Temp Monitor and its assigned Storage Unit or Room displays a Paused status in both the Monitoring and Devices views.
- Threshold alerts for the assigned Storage Unit or Room are paused.
- Hardware Error alerts for the Temp Monitor are paused.
- Temperature and humidity readings continue to be recorded and uploaded to Temperature Monitoring.
- Readings collected during the paused period are identified in Measurement History and generated reports.
- Monitor Offline and Data Out of Sync alerts continue to operate normally.
What to do
No action is required.
Continue using Turn On Paused Mode and Turn Off Paused Mode in the Kio Setup Manager app as you do today. Measurement History and generated reports now automatically identify paused periods and record who turned Paused Mode on and off.
