Three of the five Temperature Monitoring role names have changed to better align with role names used across other Kio Apps. This is a name change only — users keep the same access and permissions they had before.
Roles are assigned and managed in the Kio Cloud Users app by User Management Administrators or through your SSO identity provider.
What's new
The new role names
Each role keeps the same permissions. No users were reassigned, and no roles were added or removed.
| Previous Role name | Updated Role name |
|---|---|
| System Manager | Administrator |
| Administrator | Manager |
| Facilities Manager | Full Access User |
User and Monitoring User role names are unchanged.
As a reminder, two permissions remain exclusive to the Administrator role (previously System Manager):
- Advanced preferences. Administrator is the only role that can view or change Advanced preferences.
- The Critical alert notifications banner and sound. Only Administrators can turn the in-app banner and sound for Critical severity alerts on or off. This setting applies only to the Administrator's user profile in that browser and does not change these notifications for any other user.
What you need to do
