Two places in Reports show status. The History tab shows the status of each generated report. The Report Profiles tab shows whether a saved profile's schedule is active. This article lists both sets of values and what to do with each.
History report statuses
Each row on the History tab shows one of these states in place of, or alongside, the download link. See Download a report for how to find a report.
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to download | The report is ready. | Select the link to open the PDF in a new browser tab. |
| In progress | The report is still being generated. | Wait, then refresh. Large date ranges and broad selections take longer. |
| Report failed | Generation did not complete. | Open the report's details to read the Failure reason, then generate the report again. See Report details. |
| Unknown | The status could not be determined. | Refresh the tab. If it stays Unknown, generate the report again. |
Profile schedule states
A profile's overview shows whether it is generating on its schedule, under Status. In the Report Profiles list, a profile whose schedule is off shows Deactivated in the Next run column. A profile can be generated on demand at any time regardless of its schedule state. See Manage report profiles.
| State | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Active (profile overview) | The schedule is on. The profile generates at its next scheduled time. | Nothing. The Next run column shows when the report generates next. |
| Inactive (profile overview) | The schedule is off. The profile stays saved and stops generating on its schedule. | Select Activate Schedule on the row to turn the schedule back on, or use Generate to produce a report on demand. |
| Deactivated (profiles list) | Shown in the Next run column for a profile whose schedule is off, in place of the next scheduled time. Same state as Inactive. | Same as Inactive: select Activate Schedule to resume the schedule. |
