Every generated report has a details page recording what was asked for, who asked for it, and what the report covered. Open it from the History tab by selecting a report's row.
The page answers two questions that the History list cannot: what was actually included in this report, and — when generation failed — why.
Report summary
The first card carries the report's identity and state.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Report name | The schedule the report came from, or One-Time Report, followed by its sequence number |
| Type | The report type that was generated. See Report types. |
| Status | The report's current state. See Report and profile status values. |
| Failure reason | Shown only when the report failed. |
| Requested by | The person who generated the report, or who owns the schedule that did. |
| Requested at | When the report was requested — not the period it covers. |
This card has two actions:
- Download — opens the report. Available once the status is Ready to download.
- View schedule — opens the profile the report came from. Shown only for reports generated by a schedule, not for one-time reports.
Note: A report name repeats for every report the same schedule generates, so the sequence number is what tells one report from the next. Use Requested at to be certain which run you are looking at.
Time range
The second card records the period the report covers:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date range | The start and end of the period the report covers |
| Timezone | The timezone the range was interpreted in |
Timezone matters when your organization spans more than one. A report covering "yesterday" starts and ends at midnight in the timezone shown here, which may not be midnight where you are reading it. See Report time range options.
Items included in the report
The third card lists what the report was filtered to, grouped by kind — Campuses, Departments, Dispensers, and Staff — each with a count.
When no filter was applied, the card says so: No selection was applied — this report covered the whole company.
This is the card to check when a report's numbers look wrong. A report filtered to three departments and one covering the whole company will disagree with each other, and the History list shows nothing to tell them apart.
When a report failed
A failed report shows Failure reason on the summary card. The general case reads: Report generation failed. Try generating it again, and contact support if the problem persists.
Generating again is the first thing to try — most failures are transient. If the same report fails repeatedly, note its Requested at time and its included items before contacting support; a failure that only affects one filter combination is the useful detail.
See Download a report for generating a failed report again.
Finding your way back
The breadcrumb in the page header reflects how you arrived:
- From the History tab — History > Details.
- From a profile — Profiles > Profile Overview > Profile History > Details.
The second path is the one to use when you are checking a schedule's output over time, rather than a single report.
